Yoga Studio Etiquette

1. Please remove your shoes and place them in the cubbies provided outside of the studio

along with your other belongings.  A yoga studio is considered sacred space and wearing

shoes into the space is seen as disrespectful.  All that is needed in the studio is you, your

mat and a water bottle if you choose to have one and maybe a small towel if you sweat.

2.  Please be on time for class.  If you are late for class, please wait outside the

studio until the end of the centering so the other students can enjoy their meditation

     with minimal disruption.

3.  Please set up your practice space quietly out of respect to the other people in

the room who may be meditating before class begins.  It does happen.

4.  Please leave your cell phones outside of the studio and turned off or silenced.

If there is an emergency reason for you to have your phone in the studio, please

notify the teacher before class begins.

5.  Please line up the front of your mat with the small flowers on the floor to

ensure an orderly set up and adequate space for fellow yogis.

6.  If possible, please stay for Savasana.  If you need to leave, please do so when

     given the queue.

7.  Please return all props neatly back where they belong at the end of class.

These simple guidelines ensure mutual respect for every person in attendance.

Thank you.
